South Africa communitychallenge
- There are 11 million orphans now as a result of HIV/AIDS.**
- Orphans are deprived of their basic rights to food, health, education and shelter, and often grow up deprived of love and attention.

Volunteers will help to build houses for children in desperate need of adequate shelter. Working alongside the community and guardians of these children, you can help to provide the chance of a better future. Habitat for Humanity are working in Pietermaritzburg and Ixopo.

China communitychallenge
- An estimated 200 million people in China live on less than the equivalant of one US dollar a day.
- The need for decent housing is staggering as most of these impoverished people lack decent
- Since 2001 Habitat China has served 282 families and has built over 226 homes*

The two programmes currently available to our volunteers are dealing with the issues of disaster mitigation in flood damaged villages in Guangdong province, where extreme weather causes regular problems and replacing poverty housing in rural villages near Kunming.

India communitychallenge
- Two billion people worldwide live in poverty housing.
- Many of these people earn less than US$2 per day*

Volunteers will help to build basic, but permanent, homes for those affected by poverty housing. Habitat for Humanity are working in Bangalore.

Cambodia communitychallenge
- Cambodia has the highest percentage of people living with HIV / AIDS in Asia.
- Over 95% of women in rural areas have no access to medical care.
- Nearly 5 million people live on less than 65p a day.
Volunteers will help to build a local village community centre which will provide a safe area for children to play and learn, health facilities and counselling services, and refuge for landless families, disabled peiople and those living with HIV / AIDS. ActionAid are working in the Banteay Meanchey province.
