Day 10 - Day 14
Extend your Asian experience and fly to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Here you can explore the ancient city of Angkor. Built from 879-1191AD by the Khmer civilization, Angkor represents one of humankind’s most astonishing architectural achievements and in 1992, the city of Angkor became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 10: Transfer to Siem Reap via Skuon
After an early morning goodbye to the group you will be transfered to the small provincial town of Siem Reap in Western Cambodia – your base for the next few days via the famous ‘spider village’ of Skuon, the rarely visited but well preserved 10th century temple of Kuhananokor and lunch by the Tonle Sap Lake. A dusk visit to the atmospheric ruins of Banteay Kdei completes your day. (B,B)
Day 11: Angkor Wat
The first day of your unforgettable two-day tour of this fabulous UNESCO World Heritage Site. Vast jungle clad temples and mysterious stone carvings: a comprehensive tour of the major sites, plus some lesser known ones, including sunrise and sunset visits. Day one begins with a dawn visit to Angkor Wat and a morning tour of the temple itself. Return to the hotel during the mid-day heat with time to relax by the pool, visit the hotel spa, check out the local market or ‘Artisans D’Angkor’ handicraft school and return to the temple site for an afternoon visit to Angkor Tom; Baphuon, Elephant Terrace, Royal Enclosure, Terrace of the Leper king, Phimeanakas and last but not least, (we’ll wait until the crowds have gone!), the dramatic Bayon Temple with its famous ‘faces’. Day 12: Jungle Temples
Today you will begin with a forest hike up Bahkeng Hill to visit the spectacular Phnom Bahkeng Temple and check out the views before moving on to the huge jungle-clad ruin of Preah Khan. Dense jungle, enormous roots and trees and screeching parakeets make this atmospheric temple one of everyone’s favourites. After a midday break in Siem Reap Town- the afternoon programme continues with a short jungle walk to Ta Keo via the remote and rarely visited Ta Nei Temple. A visit to the photogenic Ta Prom ruins – the famous ‘Tomb Raider’ Temple continues our jungle theme and concludes our day’s visit. (B,B)
Day 13: Banteay Srei and departure
Early morning scenic drive through villages and paddy-fields to popular Banteay Srei with a stop at the spectacular, but rarely visited Banteay Samre Temple on our return. Afternoon at leisure depending on flight availability youwill overnight in Siem Reap or fly overnight to Bangkok for your return journey home. (B,B)

Please note that this extension is subject to minimum numbers and flight availability and should be booked no later than 10 weeks prior to departure. In some cases, a surcharge may need to be applied in which case we will inform you prior to confirming your booking. Full payment must be received no later than 8 weeks prior to departure or your place on the extension may be cancelled. All bookings will be confirmed no later than 6 weeks prior to departure.
The advertised costs for this extension are per person on twin sharing basis. If you are a solo passenger, We will accommodate you in a room with someone of the same sex.
