A once in a lifetime opportunity to journey 350kms across the African Savannah – on yer bike!

At Charity Challenge we love to spoil you, so to say Happy 2015 we’ve created a brand, spanking new biking challenge, just for you! On this epic adventure we will cycle from Kilimanjaro to theNgorongoro Crater, and experience the raw majesty of Africa, as we test ourselves mentally and physically against the stifling heat, tricky terrain and uneven roads of Tanzania. There will be dust, there will be dirt and your legs will get very, very tired. So, what’s in it for you? Our remarkable route sees us wake every morning to the warmth of the African sun, meandering through the villages of the vibrantly dressed Maasai tribes, all the while surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro. We’ll pass through the Ndarakwai conservation area, home to an abundance of wildlife, including 65 mammal and 350 bird species, it is also the seasonal migration route of choice for herds of elephants. From here, we’ll make our way to the scenic shores of Lake Manyara, a bounty of wildlife flocks to its banks creating an incredible rest spot to take a minute out the saddle and appreciate the magic of Africa.  As the sun sets each night we will fall asleep to the melody of the local wildlife, under one of the most dazzling star blankets on earth. And, if that’s not enough, our remarkable route finishes at the breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Ngorongoro Crater – the largest caldera in the world. Lucky enough to call this phenomenal location home are rhino, elephant, giraffe, gazelle – and of course the largest concentration of lions in the whole of Africa! When you see it, you’ll understand why.
