The challenge

  • Cycle 250 miles in 3 days
  • Ride alongside fellow Highgate School pupils, ex-pupils and teachers
  • Explore the Great British roads of the West Country
  • Celebrate your achievements at Hartland Abbey in Devon

This bike ride is set to be a gruelling experience, seeing you cycle 250 miles in 3 days across the South West of England to Devon. There are some steep hill climbs and exhilarating descents, making it a tough but beautiful cycle route and giving you an enormous sense of achievement when you complete the challenge.

This ride is taking place in celebration of the 450th anniversary of Highgate School, and as such will be a memorable and unique event, bringing together a whole variety of people connected with the school - both young and old! The finish line will be at Hartland Abbey, which is going to be a really fitting end to your challenge as this Abbey was used as an evacuation post for students of the school during WW2. Relive the history as you cross the finish line!
