There’s a huge range of play sessions based at our Activity Hub where families can borrow specialist toys and equipment from our Toy Library. We pride ourselves on the support we give to the wider family – whether that’s through advice surgeries, parent and carer or grandparents groups, or siblings hang-outs. As a pan-disability organisation, we welcome children and young people from 0-25 years old, with or without a diagnosis. We manage three Boarding Houses in the Andes of Peru which bridge the Physical Gap for 66 children, who previously walked up to 8 hours daily to get to school. Animal Protection Services is a registered charity that investigates and prosecutes organised animal cruelty. Our mission is to safeguard animals from commercial exploitation and deliberate acts of cruelty.

From humble beginnings in 1972 Animal Rescue Cumbria has grown and these days is a well-established rescue which takes in and rehomes over 300 dogs, cats and kittens every year. The animals we take in are unwanted or lost and homeless. We provide a secure and caring environment and help all our animals adapt and find permanent, loving new homes. We also provide support and guidance for pet owners and do educational work to increase awareness of the responsibility we all have towards animals and their welfare. We can’t do this without your help! There are lots of ways you can be involved, like rehoming an animal, volunteering your time or making a donation.

Animals Asia promotes compassion and respect for all animals and works to bring about long-term change. We work to end the barbaric bear bile trade, which sees over 10,000 bears kept on bile farms in China, and around 400 suffering the same fate in Vietnam. Animals Asia has to date, rescued over 550 bears, caring for them at our award-winning bear sanctuaries in China and Vietnam. Animals Asia also works to end the trade in dogs and cats for food in China and Vietnam, and lobbies to improve the welfare of companion animals, promote humane population management and prevent the cross-border export of "meat dogs" in Asia. In addition, Animals Asia campaigns for an end to abusive animal practices in zoos and safari parks in Asia, and works closely with governing authorities to improve animal management and increase awareness of the welfare needs of captive animals.

Animals in Distress support a wide range of animals from mice to donkeys and shires. We have two sanctuaries. One in Irlam Manchester that deals with wildlife, small animals and does a 24 hr call out. Then another sanctuary in Littleborough that deals with the wildlife, larger and unusual this includes reptiles, large birds horses, and donkeys to name a few. The Irlam branch is always on the go to home animals and the the Littleborough is a retirement home for some animals and a homing branch for others.

ARC is the only national charity helping parents and healthcare professionals through antenatal screening and its consequences. ARC offers non-directive individualised information and support to parents who are making decisions around antenatal testing. ARC gives long term support to parents whatever decision is made about the future of their pregnancy through a national helpline, coordinated network of volunteer parent contacts, password-protected internet support forums, face-to-face meetings, regular newsletters and a range of publications for parents and their families.
