Some of our challenges are exclusively in aid of one particular charity, but where you see the words “in aid of any charity”, you can raise funds for any cause that you feel passionate about, as long as they are a UK or Irish registered charity, and they authorise you to fundraise in their name. We will help get the authorisation for you to fundraise, so choose from one of the many charities on our database, or if you don’t find them listed, you can give us some contact details when you book and we’ll get in touch with them and get them listed on the site.

It all began in 1974. With her three-year-old son Anthony in urgent need of a bone marrow transplant, Shirley Nolan set up the world’s first register to match donors with people in desperate need. Now, we help three people each day find that lifesaving match.

Exclusive challenges in aid of ART FOR CURE

Charity Bike Ride from Vietnam to Cambodia

Saigon to Angkor Wat Bike Ride Art For Cure

A challenge of great contrasts, this cycling route covers 450kms past plantations, across waterways and through villages deep in the heart of the lush Mekong Delta in Vietnam, to the dry lands and ancient sights of Cambodia. Venture off the beaten track to the heart of the Mekong, taking in countless tranquil temples and pagodas, as well as bustling markets selling anything and everything. Siem Reap is the overall destination. From here, the group will explore the ancient city of Angkor. Built from 879-1191AD by the Khmer civilization, Angkor represents one of humankind's most astonishing architectural achievements and in 1992 was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Thank you for your interest in Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. We work closely with all of our fundraisers and challengers to help you reach the target you set. With a dedicated 'challengers' member of staff, backed by an experienced fundraising team, we can offer you a wealth of advice and support. By fundraising through your challenge you will help the hospice to support people in Cambridgeshire by providing end of life care, counselling and support for adult patients with life limiting illness. Our care helps patients and families to make every moment count. Each year the Charity must fundraise over £1.5 million to meet our financial commitments at the Hospice and to continue to provide all our services free of charge to those who benefit from them. In the coming year, Arthur Rank Hospice Charity, working closely with NHS colleagues, hopes to transfer the specialist palliative care services, currently provided by Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust, into its control. The charity currently contributes £1.5million per year, subsequently funding more than 40% of the care costs. All of the care offered is provided free of charge. The charity also intends to build a new 24 bed hospice so that it can offer patients a more spacious, attractive and therapeutic environment with better facilities and increased service capacity. The charity is working hard to raise £8.9million for the new hospice, with aspirations for the doors to open to patients in Summer 2016.

Ataxia is a type of neurological condition that affects balance, speech, and co-ordination. Ataxia is progressive, meaning it gets worse with time, until people become entirely dependent on others for all their needs. Over 10,000 people in the UK have ataxia and there is currently no cure. Ataxia UK is the national charity for people affected by ataxia and we provide unique services and support, including a dedicated helpline, Branches and Support Groups, together with closed social media groups, events and conferences where people can meet and share information, a quarterly magazine and monthly e-newsletter, a website with lots of information and a discussion forum, publications, films, and reports. As well as our specialist services, we have spent over £5 million on research since 2000 into possible treatments and cures for ataxia. Our vision is a world without ataxia and, with the help of our brilliant supporters, we are working towards this every day.
