We receive no money from the government or NHS for our work. At the Healthcare Workers’ Foundation, we provide practical and desperately-needed help in the form of: - Counselling - Financial support - Bereaved family support - Staff room refurbishments We provide targeted support to people working in healthcare, enabling them to continue caring for us.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People offers life changing independence and confidence by training hearing dogs that alert deaf people to important sounds and danger signals. Hearing dogs also offer emotional support and companionship by helping to reduce the feelings of stress, isolation and loneliness that deafness can often bring. Hearing dogs are easily recognisable by their distinctive burgundy jackets and lead slips, providing visibility to an otherwise invisible and overlooked disability, giving confidence to their deaf owners when in public. Almost 10 million people in the UK are deaf or have a hearing loss, which is one in six of the population. With hearing loss on the increase, demand for this life-changing service is growing. The Charity does not receive government funding so public support is vital to help continue this important work.

The Helen Rollason Cancer Charity is dedicated to championing quality of life for everyone living with or affected by Cancer. The centres offer a range of complementary therapies to patients in an environment of peace and tranquillity, including counselling, reflexology, aromatherapy, manual lymphatic drainage and support groups. The grants we award (currently to Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford and The North Middlesex Hospital) support the provision of clinical trials, which are focussed on developing new cancer drugs and treatments that increase quality of life for patients.

Free holidays, activities and support for disabled children and young people with disabilities. We are Ofsted registered and support people with a range of care needs. We have projects in the North West and South West.

Our work very much reflects the values of Hibernian F.C. when it was first formed. That is, when the Club was formed by the Catholic Young Men’s Society in 1875, it would use funds raised from games to support the local community. These values are alive today in the community foundation as they were 150 years ago. Broadly, we work in two areas: (1) Grassroots Football: Organising football for all in our community, from recreational to national performance teams. This includes our boys’, girls’ and women’s academies, pre-school and school programmes, holiday camps and football for particular groups in the community: those who are disabled and/or have additional support needs, over 55s, and refugee and immigrant communities. (2) Community Outreach: Developing initiatives that offer practical help to those who most need it. We provide hot meals and a warm, inviting space to anyone and everyone who can benefit from it. We work with a range of community groups, charities, and foodbanks in the central, north and east sides of Edinburgh, many of whom refer people to us. But we do a lot more too. We organise mental health support groups, keep fit classes, a community choir, social clubs for young people, the elderly and refugee community, provide computer and online access, and adult learning opportunities.

All charitable donations made to a hospital/ward/department within the Highland Health Board area are held in trust until used. With over 350 individual funds, to benefit the health and wellbeing of patients and staff across the Board area. The individual funds are, in the main, specific to a particular Ward/Department/Hospital.

At Highland Hospice we aim to support people, their families and carers, living with an advancing, life shortening illness in the Highlands to live the best possible life and to prepare for and experience the best possible death.

HIPZ SUPPORTS THE HEALTHCARE PROVISION IN ZANZIBAR. HIPZ IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TWO RURAL HOSPITALS, AT KIVUNGE AND MAKUNDUCHI, WHERE THEY HAVE IMPROVED THE PHYSICAL CONDITIONS OF THE HOSPITALS, PROVIDED EQUIPMENT, DEVELOPED THE INFRASTRUCTURE AND ADMINISTRATION AND PROVIDED SIGNIFICANT CLINICAL TRAINING. THIS IS ACHIEVED THROUGH VOLUNTEER UK DOCTORS ON PLACEMENTS IN THE HOSPITALS FOR UP TO A YEAR.

We are a holistic based charity that works with males from key-stage 2 into adulthood across the UK. Using mentoring, coaching mindfulness, together with a network of support and a sense of family we ensure males thrive not just to survive. We teach males the tools needed for their own mental health. Look at it this way. If I gave a starving man a fish, he would eat for that day. He would fill fulfilled and contempt. But If I taught a man to fish, he would never be starving again, he would thrive and be happy.
