Shooting Star Children’s Hospices cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, across south-west London, north-west London and Surrey. We’re here to make every moment count, whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months, or years. We support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional, and medical care. Our specialist care and support is free of charge and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We support around 500 babies, children, or young adults who have a life-limiting condition and their families, as well as around 200 bereaved families. It costs £10 million a year to run Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, so we rely on the generosity of our supporters to keep our services going.

Sight Support is a UK registered charity which provides support for people with sight loss in Hull and the East Riding. We believe no-one in Hull & East Yorkshire should have to face sight loss alone and every visually impaired person can enjoy the same opportunities and quality of life as those who are fully sighted. Our mission is to improve and enrich the quality of life for local people at all stages of sight loss, through the provision of a wide range of support services, enabling them to reach their full potential and lead independent lives. We currently support more than 2,300 local people with a range of visual impairments and work closely in partnership with local authorities, other local charities and a variety of support groups to provide the most appropriate support to suit each individual’s specific needs. We receive no government funding and rely on donations and gifts in wills to continue our work.

In the past 75 years, Sightsavers has achieved amazing things. We work in more than 30 countries to train health workers, provide eye operations, distribute treatment to prevent debilitating diseases, support people with disabilities, improve women’s health and more. In the seven decades since our foundation, we've distributed 1.7 billion treatments to prevent debilitating diseases, including blinding and potentially blinding conditions and carried out over 9.25 million cataract operations to save sight. Last year over 500 young homeless people made their ‘home’ with us. YMCA Walthamstow is a supported housing scheme where accommodation and support are provided as a package. Our scheme is designed to help residents develop in all aspects of life; mind, body and spirit, enabling them to live with us then move onto independent living and sustainment within their community. We provide targeted and holistic support to single people aged 18 and above with housing and support needs, individuals who are homeless, vulnerable and/or at risk, people living with mental illness, learning disabilities or recovering from substance misuse or those who are fleeing domestic violence.

Simon on the Streets is an independent charity that works with those who have complex needs and cannot or will not access other services. Within that group the focus is on people who are homeless and rootless, especially those with issues related to rough sleeping.

Solving Kids’ Cancer support families affected by high risk childhood cancers. We fund the next generation of innovative research focused on significantly improving survival in children. We put the immediate needs of children suffering from cancer at the heart of our research funding. We can also support children and families battling cancer to access pioneering research, with a range of services including annual events like a Family Fun Day and a Neuroblastoma Parent Conference where they can meet other families experiencing the same and clinical experts in the field of neuroblastoma.

Somewhere House Somerset offers support through counselling and a listening ear to individuals families and children. Those with mental health issues and who need general support. We also offer educational workshops for schools colleges etc and run a five a side footy team. We have charity events throughout the community. all our counsellors are qualified and experienced.

Sorted provides mental health and emotional wellbeing support to Children and young people across Central Bedfordshire. Since 1986, Soup Kitchen London has been a resource for the homeless, elderly, lonely and vulnerable in London. We provide free meals, clothing, toiletries and a sense of belonging to nearly 200 of our friends each day. Additionally, we recently launched Europe's first on-site mental health drop-in centre within a soup kitchen, to address our guests' mental health needs. With the help of hundreds of volunteers each year, our aim is to provide a nutritious meal in a safe and warm environment that welcomes everyone.
