WE CURRENTLY WORK WITH OVER 2000 UK AND IRISH REGISTERED CHARITIES.

Some of our challenges are operated exclusively in aid of one particular charity, but where you see the words “in aid of any charity”, you can raise funds for any cause that you feel passionate about, as long as they are a UK or Irish registered charity, and they authorise you to fundraise in their name.

We will help to get the authorisation for you to fundraise, so choose from one of the many charities on our database, or if you don’t find them listed, you can give us some contact details when you book and we’ll get in touch with them about becoming a charity partner.

Please type in the name (or part of the name) of the charity below in the ‘search term’ field below. If the name is a direct match, it will appear at the top of the results list. i.e. if you type Cancer, Cancer UK will appear towards the top of the results, British Cancer UK will appear lower down, and The UK Foundation of Lung Cancer Charities will appear even further down. So please try the exact match for the first few words to make it easier to find your charity. If you type a search term that is not in the name of the charity, but is in the description about the charity, it will appear after all of the above named results.

As a community, we know we have challenges, particularly in engaging with a younger generation so that Jewish life is relevant to them. And with an increasingly hostile anti-Israel atmosphere in the UK, and the parallel rise in anti-Semitism, particularly on campus, young people need to have an even stronger foundation for their self-confidence as Jewish people. UJIA has been the key funder for youth movements, Israel Experience programmes, student programmes, and schools programmes for more than two decades. In all we invest £1.9 million a year in these programmes. We haven’t just voiced the truism that the future of the community depends on its young people – we’ve acted on it.

Working with local communities and governments, we ensure that every child is helped to reach their full potential, as individuals and as members of their communities. Through our long term and emergency programmes for healthcare, education and rights issues, we offer care and protection for all children at risk. UNICEF is not funded by the UN. Charity description for Charity challenge Veterans Aid is UK's main front-line operational charity, with a flat organisational structure enabling it to deliver immediate support to ex-servicemen and women in crisis. VA's interventions are needs led and practical, ranging from the immediate provision of basics such as new clothes, food and drink to longer-term accommodation and help to deal with more complex issues until the veterans are able to sustain themselves emotionally, psychologically and financially. VA has a dual approach. Front of house, where clients call or come initially for help is our Drop-in-Centre in Victoria, London. The second location is New Belvedere House, where our most vulnerable clients are accommodated and receive a more in depth, holistic treatment and care from experienced and professional staff. Among the projects run by VA are; Emergency Accommodation, Substance Misuse, Mental Health Issues, Education, Training and Employment, Foreign and Commonwealth support. When clients move-on from VA- they receive our help to source permanent private-rented or supported accommodation. Everyone leaves VA equipped with training, confidence and skills to withstand the stresses and challenges of 21st Century living as well as an 'address book' of friends. The Veterans Aid mantra is 'a hand up not a hand out'. This investment in individuals by providing them with the personal and practical skills to break the cycle of dependency is a model that has achieved unparalleled success and extremely low recidivism. 92% of our clients are still thriving after 6 months from graduating from VA's hostel.

Village Water brings safe water, decent toilets and hygiene education to some of the poorest communities in Zambia and Mozambique. These basics help women and girls be more than just water collectors, children go to school; adults provide for their families. Step by step communities can work their own way out of poverty. That’s why we say change begins with safe water. But in fact, it begins with YOU! Take on a challenge for us and you can be confident you’re making a difference. We keep our overheads low, so you know that every penny you raise is being spent in the right place. We don’t do quick fixes. Or handouts. We focus on building skills in Africa so local people can take charge of their water and sanitation and live dignified and independent lives.
