We work with other landowners & seek to influence decisions to safeguard important wildlife habitats.

Palestine’s infrastructure is severely damaged. Healthcare in Bethlehem and throughout the West Bank is now patchy at best. The suffering of the people who are sick and the distress of their families is hard for us to imagine. We are the first and only organisation providing palliative and specialist care to people in this region and the need for our services is great. Birdshot Uveitis is a rare and potentially blinding disease.  The most concerning issue is that if left untreated or if flare ups are aggressive, it can lead to macular oedema, a swelling of the macula layer in the eye which can cause blindness. Currently there is no known cure and little is understood about the disease. The Birdshot Uveitis Society (BUS) is a registered charity that offers support and practical advice and aims to educate the general public and health professionals about this rare, hard to treat, autoimmune form of posterior uveitis. The aims of the Birdshot Uveitis Society are to: • Support people diagnosed with Birdshot Uveitis and their friends and family members. • Provide information for healthcare professionals and patients.• Raise awareness of Birdshot Uveitis. • Raise funds to enable us to expand our support network and information base and to undertake research, where appropriate.

Brain tumours present a life changing experience. Current treatment involves Surgery, plus a combination of Chemotherapy, and Radio or Proton Therapy, but each of these have devastating consequences in terms of side effects, both in the short term and over the long term. Research is trying to establish new innovative ways to treat childhood brain tumours, but this requires funding. Blue Skye Thinking is a charity set up to support research and treatment of childhood brain tumours, and to look after the wellbeing of the children and their families, so that all diagnosed, will have a better chance of survival and a better quality of life during and post-treatment. The Charity is run by volunteers and all money donated goes directly to the forefront of research, treatment and wellbeing projects.

Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice cares for children and young adults whose lives are sadly just too short, both in their own homes and at the North Anston hospice. The charity supports children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions, helping hundreds of families at the hospice and in their homes across the region. Bluebell Wood is very much a happy, joyful place focused on helping families make wonderful memories together whether they have weeks, months or years together. It costs almost £14,000 each day to keep the hospice doors open for families across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. With only around fifteen per cent of its funding coming from Government sources, Bluebell Wood is reliant on its fantastic supporters, fundraisers and volunteers who consistently go above and beyond to help the charity reach as many people who need it as possible.
