DEBRA is the national charity supporting those directly affected by, and working with, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a potentially fatal skin condition that causes constant pain due to unstoppable internal and external blistering. DEBRA provides lifelong support to the entire EB community by liaising with its members to meet their needs and priorities in care, treatment and research. DEBRA offers practical, financial and emotional support to, and advocates for, EB sufferers; partners with the NHS to provide specialist care and internationally-recognised clinical care guidelines; and works with researchers investigating alleviation for the debilitating effects of living with EB.

Dentaid is one of the leading oral health charities in the world. Whilst still providing refurbished dental equipment, in recent years the charity has played vital roles in oral health promotion such as establishing innovative school prevention programmes and initiating various training schemes.

Dental Mavericks (DM) is a charitable dental relief organisation registered in the United Kingdom with ongoing operations in Morocco, supporting vulnerable communities. Since 2010, the central goal and mission of Dental Mavericks has focused on making dental care accessible to vulnerable populations deprived of it, and more broadly, promoting oral hygiene education and practice. Our priority is to address root causes and take people out of dental pain. In all areas of Dental Mavericks activities, we champion an ethos of high-quality care that is patient-led and dignified.

Donations, fundraising and legacies enable Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity to offer those "extras" that are not provided from NHS funds but make a real difference for our patients. They are used to improve facilities, provide extra medical equipment and help staff keep up to date with the latest technology and training.

DCHC is a charity which was established in 1891 to provide disadvantaged Derbyshire children with holidays in Skegness, Lincolnshire. At the present time it provides 450 holiday places per season. The residential experience provides endless opportunity for contributing to the personal and social development of the children, especially making it clear to them that they are accepted as worthwhile individuals. The development of the children's self-esteem, attitudes and behaviour can be significant during the period.

At Derian House Children's Hospice we provide care and respite for children and young adults with life-limiting or life-shortening conditions. We support families across the South of Cumbria, the entire of Lancashire and the North of Manchester. To provide our services in 2019 it will cost us almost £4m, out of this we only receive 8% in any statutory sources.

One-quarter of strokes occur in under 65s for whom stroke is devastating: disabled in an instant; often with a family to support; and relying on employment for income not a pension. It is imperative they make the best possible recovery physically and psychologically and so we provide information, support and exercise classes.

We believe every resident in Kenya has a fundamental right to access clean water, safe toilets and good hygiene. Where we work in Kenya, 2 out of every 3 people lack access to clean and reliable water supplier whilst 54% lack access to safe toilets. Most residents live in rural communities and spend hours every day walking to collect dirty water or find a safe place to relieve themselves. Dirty water and poor hygiene spread disease, meaning even more time is lost to sickness - time that could have been spent on work or education. For a child, this can mean the difference between dropping out of primary school and completing a full education. For a parent, the difference between struggling to get by and earning enough to improve the prospects of their family. Thanks to our amazing supporters, we are accelerating access to water, sanitation and good hygiene for over 1 million people, helping marginalised children and families lift themselves out of poverty.

We believe in the best start for all children. We therefore deliver life changing support to under 5s with additional needs and disabilities and their families by providing specialist learning through play, family support and training, and advice to mainstream settings across Berkshire.

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) unites the UK's leading independent humanitarian agencies in their efforts to maximise income from the public in order to mount effective response to humanitarian cirses overseas.  Each DEC appeal delivers clear, consistent messages to the general public, achieves maximum publicity and most importantly provides a simple, convenient and cost-effective way for the general public to make donations to support poor people in crisis.

Diverse Abilities is the only charity that supports both children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities, and their families, in Dorset. We cannot change people's disabilities but we can help them live their lives to the full.

Every 20 minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with blood cancer. For many, the best or only possible treatment option is a blood stem cell transplant. DKMS provides patients with a second chance at life, working closely with their families from diagnosis to transplant and beyond. The donor journey begins with a swab of the cheek that takes less than two minutes and can be the action that leads to a lifesaving transplant.

We are dedicated to helping disabled, sick and disadvantaged young people and children (from 0-25) to transform their lives. Under our ABLE banner, our priority is to make a difference through targeted grant support, helping local and regional community groups and charities across the UK and Europe to deliver projects which provide access to opportunities and improve wellbeing. Across our grant making processes, we prefer to fund projects which provide and facilitate access to education; provide tools and opportunities through equipment, facilities and training; and relieve suffering, improve treatment, care and wellbeing.

We are an Animal rescue and pet food bank. We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs, and occasionally other animals. We are based in the North of England and Scotland. We rehomed 125 in 2024 and in 2025, we expect to rehome our 1000th animal since we were founded 10 years ago.

We want to see all dogs living full, safe and happy lives. And thanks to you, we can be there to offer a helping hand when pups and their owners need us most. When a dog is in distress, we care for them. When a dog needs a home, we find them a loving family. When an owner needs a helping hand (or paw), or they just can't cope, we're ready to step in.
