The work of Family Friends is to: Empower, encourage and help families get on track. Our community of volunteers work alongside each family to help them overcome any number of life-barriers that they are encountering. Success is achieved by families and volunteers co-producing attainable and achievable goals. Those are then tracked and measured as each family journies through our service. Each family has a unique set of circumstances and with that as a baseline we know that the 'one size fits all' approach does not work. Our approach is truly bespoke to meet the needs of each family and to effect a positive long-term outcome. For that reason we take care and time to match the right volunteer to the family, working tirelessly to ensure that each relationship is closely monitored and adaptations are made to produce -positive outcomes for all.

We believe families raising disabled and seriously ill children should have the same opportunities as others. We aim to make a difference by providing grants for essential items such as furniture, clothing, sensory toys, short breaks and much more. Last year we helped 69,464 families across the UK with over £32 million of grants.

Our charity Familyforeverjp founded by myself & husband in memory of our son Jayden who sadly lost his battle with a brain tumour aged 17. We are a small registered charity and very new to all this . Our aim is to help support children,young adults and their families to make happy memories Together or just some chill time in a time of need. In 2023 we helped put a smile on 12 critically sick childrens faces, this was various gifts from iPads,Nintendo switches,concerts to short holiday breaks for the whole family unit. At Farplace Animal Rescue we care for animals rejected elsewhere. At our no-kill sanctuary we care for over 300 animals, including pets, wildlife, and larger animals such as horses. Once they have recieved the care they need, some animals are rehomed to loving families, some animals reside permanently at our sanctuary where they can get continual care, and wild animals are released back into nature.
