Gloucestershire Young Carers is a dynamic charity constantly growing and developing to meet the ever-changing needs of young carers in the county. We support children and young people caring for a family member who is ill, disabled, experiencing mental health or substance misuse. We support young carers in Gloucestershire in reaching their potential, enabling them and their families to access support which minimises the physical and emotional impact of caring and promotes health and well-being. We support more than 1000 carers and their families.

On breaks under wide open skies in the countryside, Go Beyond gives children and young people who have been bereaved, abused or bullied, who are living in poverty or caring for loved ones the chance to escape their worries and pressures. To have the moments and experiences they need to believe in themselves and think beyond the day-to-day for a bigger, brighter future.

Go Dharmic is an international humanitarian and environmental charity, that brings people together to spread love and compassion through their social action campaigns. Go Dharmic was started in 2011 by Hanuman Dass, who created the platform to promote universal compassionate action. Inspired by the concept of ‘Dharma’, the charity has over 3,000 volunteers globally and works tirelessly as an ambassador of peace across the globe through extensive campaigns for Environmental Action, Poverty Alleviation, Education, Plant-Based and Organic Diets, and Crisis Response. Gorse Hill Studios offers culturally enriching experiences to underserved children and young people, providing creative education and mentoring, empowering them to become active contributors to their communities through social action and participation projects. They also utilize expressive art therapy and tailor projects to meet the unique needs of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

GRACE supports women living with gynaecological cancers across Surrey, West Sussex, and Hampshire. Our focus is on raising vital awareness to promote early diagnosis of the cancers; fund desperately needed research into their causes and treatments; provide local hospitals with vital surgical equipment; and to offer and facilitate peer support to women who are diagnosed.

Every year, just over 4,000 children and young adults receive this life-changing diagnosis. The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust is working hard to raise awareness of childhood cancer signs and symptoms. We produce educational resources for parents and clinicians, provide support to families and fund research into rare cancers of childhood.

The Graham Layton Trust treats curable blindness and visual impairment by providing high quality free eye surgery and ophthalmic care for those who cannot afford treatment in Pakistan.

The Grange Pavilion project redevelops a neglected Bowls Pavilion and Green as a multifunctional facility for Grangetown’s diverse communities, providing civic amenities including multiple spaces for community use and for hire, and a community-focused café and garden for wellbeing, play, education, growing and biodiversity, meeting priorities identified by Grangetown communities.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) operates three helicopters, 365 days a year, across the North-East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. GNAAS crews respond to around 1,000 call outs each year and on board our aircraft are specialist trauma doctors and paramedics, who bring accident and emergency expertise to the scene. Whether it’s in a city centre or a remote mountain, our medics respond to wherever they are needed in the shortest space of time. The helicopters are never more than a 15-minute flight from the nearest hospital.

Greenfingers is a national charity dedicated to creating magical, therapeutic gardens for life-limited children and their families and carers to improve their time spent in hospices across the UK. Greenfingers Charity is driven by the belief that time spent outdoors, away from the bedside, can offer children and families under considerable stress a vital opportunity to embrace the benefits of being in the fresh air and engaging with the natural environment. The charity is committed to creating specially designed, stimulating garden spaces that can bring many benefits to children with life-limiting conditions. Whilst many people may take for granted the simple pleasure of being able to enjoy a garden, for these children, their siblings and their families, the chance to spend time together outdoors and away from the bedside is precious.

We are the foremost provider of specialist palliative care to people living in the London Boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley. Our services cover an area of 40 square miles and a population of around 450,000 and has areas of wealth and extreme hardship. Our staff and volunteers care for patients with a variety of life limiting illnesses, and provide support services for their loved ones for as long as they need it.  

Grief Encounter care passionately about helping bereaved children, young people and their families find hope and healing after the death of someone close. Every day 127 children in the UK lose a parent or sibling. Many of them face grief alone, without the support they need to cope and heal. This is why Grief Encounter exists - to provide free, professional bereavement services for children and families when it matters most. Our vision is a world where no child grieves alone.

It is our aim to provide an exemplary Helicopter Emergency Medical Service to the people of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, conveying patients efficiently and promptly to the most appropriate hospital for their needs. The Helicopter is called many times a day to attend to road traffic collisions, sporting accidents, collapses and many other incidents, and these missions are often life saving. Funded solely by donations, the Air Ambulance flies seven days a week, 365 days a year, and can be anywhere in Hampshire in 15 minutes and the Isle of Wight in 20.
