Some of our challenges are operated exclusively in aid of one particular charity, but where you see the words “in aid of any charity”, you can raise funds for any cause that you feel passionate about, as long as they are a UK or Irish registered charity, and they authorise you to fundraise in their name.
We will help to get the authorisation for you to fundraise, so choose from one of the many charities on our database, or if you don’t find them listed, you can give us some contact details when you book and we’ll get in touch with them about becoming a charity partner.
Please type in the name (or part of the name) of the charity below in the ‘search term’ field below. If the name is a direct match, it will appear at the top of the results list. i.e. if you type Cancer, Cancer UK will appear towards the top of the results, British Cancer UK will appear lower down, and The UK Foundation of Lung Cancer Charities will appear even further down. So please try the exact match for the first few words to make it easier to find your charity. If you type a search term that is not in the name of the charity, but is in the description about the charity, it will appear after all of the above named results.

Today, Mermaids has evolved into one of the UK’s leading LGBTQ+ charities, empowering thousands of people with its secure online communities, local community groups, helpline services, web resources, events and residential weekends. The Livingstone Tanzania Trust has been working in Babati since 2007. Our long term relationship with Babati means that we do not parachute in with grand development plans but work at the grassroots level with local formal and informal leaders who guide our work and ensure that we are assisting the community achieve the change they want - We become an additional resource to work alongside existing structures. We recognise the legitimacy and power of community-based leadership to bring about long lasting sustainable change. We empower communities to design their own projects, accordingly our development agenda is determined in Babati, by the communities we partner and they actively participate in that development process. We believe that within the community there is the potential to overcome the challenges faced and that our function is to help release that potential. However, we also recognise that the challenges within the community cannot always be solved in isolation and that on occasion external assistance is needed.

These Centres will ease the suffering of the families affected by MND by offering a single venue with coordinated care including all the required clinical specialities at a single visit. MND Nurse coordinators will lead this all-embracing support at the centres or, at the individualâs choice via video call or home visit when disability is profound. Regular follow ups will be offered by the Coordinator to ensure that any deterioration or new support requirement is accessed promptly by the family to avert suffering and/or unnecessary inpatient visit to hospital. In addition, the MND Foundation will fund research to target finding a cure for all individuals living with MND.
