Move The World (MTW) is a UK based charity, founded in 2016, focused on community development and Global Citizenship education in the Ga West region of Ghana, West Africa. Our mission is to educate youth in Ghana to be active Global Citizens. We do this by delivering Global Citizenship Education programmes in schools and community settings, using the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as learning themes. Students, young adults and teachers engage with each other in experiential activities to build life skills whilst learning about local and global issues.

In 1993, a community in Nottingham, moved by the devastation of the Bosnian war, sprang into action. A small group of volunteers began collecting money, clothes and medicine for the people of Bosnia. My Body Back Project provides specialist healthcare to women who have experienced sexual violence. Based in London and Glasgow, our sexual health and maternity clinics are designed to meet the needs of women who, as a result of their trauma, feel they cannot access traditional services.

Doddie Weir OBE was one of rugby’s most recognisable personalities. He earned 61 caps for Scotland during a successful playing career, represented the British and Irish Lions on their successful tour to South Africa in 1997, and won championships with his two club sides, Melrose and Newcastle Falcons. In June 2017 the Scot revealed he was suffering from Motor Neuron Disease. From the outset, Doddie was driven to help fellow sufferers and seek ways to further research into this, as yet, incurable disease. In November 2017, Doddie and his trustees launched the registered charity, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. Our vision is simple: A World Free of MND.

My WiSH Charity enhances the care patients at the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust receive. This comprises of; West Suffolk Hospital, Newmarket Community Hospital and community services both in health centres and people’s homes across Suffolk. We fundraise for all hospital wards, departments, and services, supporting everything from emergency to the elderly, bones to babies, and cataract to cancer care. West Suffolk Hospital looks after a population of over 280,000, so raising money to help enhance the care the community receive is vital.

When a child or young person is diagnosed with a life-limiting condition Naomi House & Jacksplace becomes their home from home. Our teams take the time to really get to know the family and fully understand their wishes. We offer them vital respite support, giving them the chance to recharge their batteries and regroup in a calm, fun and welcoming environment. In times of emergency Naomi House & Jacksplace is there, giving families the help they need through difficult times. And at the end of a child or young person's life, we pull out all the stops to give them a peaceful and dignified end, surrounded by family members. This standard of care costs money; £7 million per year to be precise. The National Association for People Abused in Childhood (NAPAC) is the UK’s leading national charity offering support to adult survivors of all types of childhood abuse, including physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect.

The National Animal Welfare Trust is a rescue and re-homing charity with five centres across the South of England.  It is home to a surprisingly wide variety of animals, primarily dogs and cats, but also farm animals and small domestic pets too.  It provides food, warmth and veterinary treatment to those animals in great need of care, prior to finding them their forever home.

NASEN helps children and young people with SEND by improving the quality of education and support they receive. We are the National Deaf Children’s Society, the leading charity for deaf children. We give expert support on childhood deafness, raise awareness and campaign for deaf children’s rights, so they have the same opportunities as everyone else. Being more people focused and keen to ensure that research benefits real people rather than sitting on university shelves, we find the real benefit within new and existing research, turn it into programmes, policy advice and advocacy that directly helps large numbers of Africans in poverty overcome the challenges they face.
