Some of our challenges are operated exclusively in aid of one particular charity, but where you see the words “in aid of any charity”, you can raise funds for any cause that you feel passionate about, as long as they are a UK or Irish registered charity, and they authorise you to fundraise in their name.
We will help to get the authorisation for you to fundraise, so choose from one of the many charities on our database, or if you don’t find them listed, you can give us some contact details when you book and we’ll get in touch with them about becoming a charity partner.
Please type in the name (or part of the name) of the charity below in the ‘search term’ field below. If the name is a direct match, it will appear at the top of the results list. i.e. if you type Cancer, Cancer UK will appear towards the top of the results, British Cancer UK will appear lower down, and The UK Foundation of Lung Cancer Charities will appear even further down. So please try the exact match for the first few words to make it easier to find your charity. If you type a search term that is not in the name of the charity, but is in the description about the charity, it will appear after all of the above named results.

We’re MQ, the UK’s leading mental health research charity. Right now, our understanding of mental illness is nowhere near where it needs to be. Through research, we can inspire the next great shift in healthcare. One in four of us experiences mental illness each year, yet our knowledge is so limited that it can take an average of ten years to get help after symptoms first develop. Many treatments and interventions are ineffective. Side effects from medications can be exhausting. And a frustrating period of trial-and-error is often needed to reach a solution. Think of the huge advances made through research, from HIV to cancer. Treatments for these, and many other diseases, are unrecognisable compared to thirty years ago. We’re committed to delivering an equivalent transformation in our response to mental illness. With your help, we can create a world where mental illnesses are understood, effectively treated, and one day prevented.

Muslim Hands, an international aid agency and NGO, grew from this grass roots movement and since these first efforts, we have responded to countless more emergencies, as well as establishing long term projects such as schools, healthcare clinics and livelihood programmes worldwide. We are working in over 50 countries and have field offices in over 30 of these. NIAS offers scholarship, access to further education and empowerment for people that want to get involved in African development work. We also provide advice and guidance for institutions, including charities that want to get involved in ‘doing good work’ – the right way. We are a development research charity aiming to end ‘inter-generational poverty transfers’ by helping people access sustainable means of livelihood. Simply put, this means that children born to poor parents don’t have to grow up and die poor too! Being more people focused and keen to ensure that research benefits real people rather than sitting on university shelves, we find the real benefit within new and existing research, turn it into programmes, policy advice and advocacy that directly helps large numbers of Africans in poverty overcome the challenges they face.
