How to fund your challenge
This page provides you details of the costs of your challenge.
The costs below are per person.
MINIMUM SPONSORSHIP
You will be required to make a donation of £475 at the time of booking and raise a minimum amount of sponsorship for AIG's chosen charity - Cancer Research UK.
You also need to raise the minimum sponsorship of £3,995*.
*£1,750 if raised through colleague’s eligible for AIG’s 2:1 Match Fund.
Please note that there is a deadline of 30 June to have raised the first £1,000.
You can raise sponsorship with family and friends outside of work but AIG will only match donations made by an eligible employee and/or their spouse/partner.
In addition, AIG will contribute £150 towards your challenge costs.
You should send your sponsorship money to Cancer Research UK as you raise it.
- At least £1000 should be raised by 30 June 2024
- 80% of the minimum sponsorship required (which is £1,065.60) must be sent to the charity 12 weeks before departure (by 16/08/2024).
- The remaining 20% (£267) should be sent to the charity within 4 weeks of completing the challenge (by 16/12/2024).
If you have raised the necessary funds, Cancer Research UK will then pay the balance of your expedition costs. The charity benefits by keeping the remaining sponsorship money and every pound over and above that you raise.
