IN DETAIL

Self-funding option

The full cost of this challenge is £110.00. You will be required to pay the non-refundable registration fee of £45.00 at the time of booking, and 5 weeks before departure (09/05/2026) you will be required to pay the final balance of your challenge costs (£65.00). You will receive fundraising advice and sponsorship forms and be encouraged to raise £150.00 for Prostate Cancer Research. As you have covered the full cost of the challenge, 100% of this fundraising will be retained by Prostate Cancer Research.

Minimum sponsorship option

You will be required to pay the non-refundable registration fee of £45.00 at the time of booking and aim to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship, £360.00 for Prostate Cancer Research. We require £65 (covering the cost of your place) to be raised and sent to the charity 7 weeks (25/04/2026) before the event date, but we also encourage you to raise £360 in minimum sponsorship by 4 weeks post event (11/07/2026). If you have raised the necessary funds, Prostate Cancer Research will then pay the balance of your expedition costs (which will not exceed 18% of the minimum sponsorship target). The charity benefits by keeping the remaining sponsorship money and every pound over and above that you raise.

Why support Prostate Cancer Research?

Did you know that prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men? 1 in 8 men in the UK will be diagnosed in their lifetime, and that increases to 1 in 4 for black men. At Prostate Cancer Research, we aim for a future where prostate cancer is swiftly detected, successfully treated, and its impact greatly reduced on all men and their families. To make that future possible we are investing your donations into groundbreaking research and treatments to create a future where prostate cancer no longer threatens lives. Our focus is on delivering innovative solutions and improving quality of life for patients, families, and all communities affected by prostate cancer.

Patient focus is in our DNA. We involve people with prostate cancer every step of the way to ensure your fundraising powers research that is important to them, whilst also spear-heading innovative projects with patients at their heart.

We are actively engaging policymakers to secure support for key prostate cancer initiatives, including screening for high-risk groups. Our goal is to influence healthcare policy and ensure that the latest advancements in prostate cancer care are accessible to all.

Join us and we’ll support you in your fundraising every step of the way, with an expert team on hand throughout and access to loads of materials and ideas to help you have a memorable and impactful experience. Together, we can create a world free from the impact of prostate cancer.
