Day 1, Sat 25 Jun 2016

Saturday evening: Arrival and preparation

The group will be met by the leaders and crew in Tenby in the late evening. After a hearty supper and a pre-trek briefing, the group will transfer to the starting point of the challenge.

Day 2, Sun 26 Jun 2016

Through the night

St Govan’s Head is the most southerly point in Pembrokeshire and the perfect starting point for our adventure. We set off into the growing darkness on a trail that snakes north-east between Stackpole Head and Trewent Point.

The route will be lit by torchlight and stars, as we grow accustomed to the unusual experience of trekking at night. For many, trekking through the night will be one of the most challenging aspects of the journey.

Tiredness and fatigue will begin to take their toll as we round the Priest’s Nose and head along the limestone coastline towards Tenby. Teamwork and endurance are now all-important as we tackle the final leg of this inspirational journey.

With the arrival of the new dawn, exhaustion gives way to a wonderful sense of elation and achievement. The aim is to arrive at the top of the south cliff in time for sunrise, before a well-earned breakfast and some team celebrations.
