Day 1, Thu 16 May 2019

Day 1: Survive the Wild

Have you got what it takes to survive for 24 hours until rescue?

When you arrive at your challenge location at10:30am for an 11 am start, you will be met by a Bear Grylls Survival Academy representative and taken for your safety briefing.

 Activities that you will partake in include (weather dependent):

  • Dynamic river runs
  • Improvised wilderness first aid
  • Emergency shelter builds
  • Navigate harsh terrain by day and night
  • Abseil & rope use techniques
  • Survival knife skills and fire lighting
  • Waterfall Jump
  • Dynamic Self Rescue Techniques
  • Emergency Water Rescue Techniques
  • White Water Gorge Walk
  • Gorge Tyrolean
  • Camping (normally build your own shelter)
  • Shelter building
  • Fire lighting
  • Wild food preparation

PLEASE NOTE: As this is a dynamic survival challenge there will be no set meal, you will, of course, be provided with rations but we strongly advise that you plan to bring additional snacks.

Day 2, Fri 17 May 2019

Day 2: Survive the Wild

After a night sleeping under the stars and in the elements, rise early for a personal training exercise and grab some sustenance from a boil in the bag breakfast.

We will then work back towards the extraction point and back to civilisation having survived the wild!
