You will come across a few nomadic buildings and agricultural terraces en route. After a well-earned break from the midday sun you will follow the flat plateau, and dry riverbed, to a camp beneath an Acacia and Tamarisk forest with some small dunes nearby. (B,L,D)

Be prepared for another long and challenging day. The route cuts through a dramatic gorge, into two low flat bottomed valleys. From here it’s a spectacular climb over the multi-coloured sand covered rock of Jebel Zereg.
On a clear day, you will experience spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding plains, dunes and mountains. In the afternoon, the beautiful orange dunes are replaced by the open expanse of the plateau, leaving our overnight camp exposed to the desert winds. (B,L,D)
NB: If you suffer from vertigo please note, on the ascent of Jebel Zereg, there are some exposed drops, but you will be supported through this section by your leaders if needed.
Accommodation: Camping
Today covers around 20km, starting from the crisp, broken mud of the dry Rhris River. It’s then back onto the low dunes, tackling a variety of rocky and sandy terrain with a chance to meet nomads and have a cup of tea with them! Once we cross the finish line it’s time to celebrate with the team and guides. (B,L,D)

On the final day of challenge we will trek for around two hours to reach our support vehicles where we wave goodbye to the desert and rest those weary legs on the transfer to Ouarzazate. In the evening there will be a celebration dinner. (B,L,D)

Expect to feel elated and emotional as you leave Ouarzazate and drive to the airport in Marrakech for your international flight back to London, arriving later the same day. (B)
