Your challenge day by day

Day 1, Sat 06 Jun 2026

Arrival

Your challenge will begin at our base camp for the week, nestled at the edge of Wareham Forest. After settling into your tents, you will then get to meet all the Challenge Leaders and Support Team at the all-important welcome and safety briefing. This will be where your leaders explain everything you need to know about the next few days ahead, including what to take with you on the trek each day. It will also be your opportunity to ask any questions and get to know the team. It will then be early to bed, excited about the adventure ahead.

Day 2, Sun 07 Jun 2026

Lulworth Cove (17km, 670m ascent)

After a hearty breakfast we’ll have a bus transfer to the start of our trek.  Today we will be trekking an entirely coastal route, starting in the west to take in dramatic clifftop footpaths and the famous landmark of Durdle Door, a magnificent limestone sea arch rising 60m from the waves. After a quick photo stop, we’ll continue over one final ‘tout’ (the Jurassic Coast word for a ‘lookout’ – aka ‘hill’) to finish at picturesque Lulworth Cove. From here we head back to basecamp to recharge our batteries with dinner and a good night’s sleep.

2

Day 3, Mon 08 Jun 2026

Swyre Head and Kimmeridge Bay (16km, 520m ascent)

Today we head to the highest point on the Isle of Purbeck – Swyre Head, at the dizzying height of 203m! After a short bus transfer, we’ll soon be enjoying stunning 360 views across the coast and Dorset before heading down past the thatched cottages of Kimmeridge and its rocky bay, famous for fossils and marine life. The views keep coming as we continue along the South West Coast Path, enjoying views out to sea before looping back to our start point.

Day 4, Tue 09 Jun 2026

Purbeck Ridgeway (15km, 330m ascent)

A treat of a route, starting by the dramatic ruins of Corfe Castle before traversing the chalky and undulating ridgeline of the Purbeck Hills. As the coast draws closer, we’ll celebrate by the iconic sea stack of Old Harry Rocks (with views out over the sea to the Isle of Wight!) before dropping down to finish at Studland, the most easterly point on the Jurassic Coast.

4

Day 5, Wed 10 Jun 2026

Purbeck Coast to Swanage (16km, 333m ascent)

Starting in the west, we’ll trek the undulating cliffs of the Purbeck coast, soaking up dramatic views from St Aldheim’s Head and passing through the parkland of Durlston Castle before finishing in the Victorian seaside resort of Swanage.

5

Day 6, Thu 11 Jun 2026

Wareham Forest (18km, 150m ascent)

Our last trekking day! We’ll head directly out from the campsite to explore the forest trails and ancient heathland of Wareham Forest, before looping back to cheer each other on at the finish line and celebrate the week’s achievements back at basecamp.
