Charity Challenge are excited to launch five brand new UK-based challenges. At Charity Challenge, we work hard to maintain our successful working relationships with our charity and corporate partners and actively listen to feedback regarding new challenge ideas/locations.
With a focus on urban events located in or close to some of the UK’s major cities, whilst maintaining impressive marathon-length (or half marathon-length) trekking elements, we are proud to present five new challenges.
Our new UK charity challenges are based in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Surrey and the Chilterns, just outside of London.
Exclusive bookings for Charities or Corporates
These new events are highly flexible choices for corporates or charities looking to engage their employees or fundraising supporters:
- They can be run all year round, either on weekdays or weekends.
- The whole challenge can be completed in one day.
- They all have easy to reach start/finish locations with public transport in mind.
- Minimum group size required for peak season (May/June/Sept) is 30.
- Minimum group size required for off peak months (Apr/Jul/Aug/Oct) is 50.

Birmingham Canal to Castle Trek
Challenge yourself to this scenic marathon (42km) or half marathon (21km) trek from Birmingham Cathedral to Warwick Castle. Follow the historic Grand Union Canal, transitioning from urban streets to open green spaces. By the finish line, you’ll have walked an inspiring distance and explored the distinct character of the Midlands’ landscapes.

Take on an epic 42km or 21km journey through Manchester, following historic canals, vibrant waterfronts, and iconic landmarks. Starting in Sale, you’ll run past Sale Water Park, Salford Quays, Old Trafford, and Castlefield, finishing near the city centre, where history meets modern cityscapes.

Bristol Gorge, Bridge and Castle Trek
Take on the Bristol Urban Challenge, a marathon-distance trek through the heart of one of the UK’s most vibrant cities. This unique 42km circular route showcases Bristol’s rich history, stunning architecture, and diverse cultural heritage.

Discover three of Surrey’s iconic peaks (Holmbury Hill, Leith Hill and Box Hill) on this 35km circular walking challenge. Experience the stunning Surrey Hills as you trek through tranquil woodland, charming villages, and rolling countryside. With breathtaking views and serene natural beauty, this is a rewarding challenge close to London.

A stunning trekking challenge along two of the UK’s most spectacular National Trails, the Thames footpath and The Ridgeway, and less than one hour from London. This spectacular trekking route will take you along a stunning section of the River Thames, through quaint Oxfordshire villages and then a spectacular section of the prehistoric Ridgeway, “Britain’s oldest road”.
